Terms Of Business


1. Orders are accepted on the understanding that the customer accept these terms of business.
   
   
2. Credit Accounts will be opened on receipt of two satisfactory trade references and a bank reference. All accounts are strictly net: for approved credit accounts payment must be made no later than the last day of the next month following the date of invoice. The company reserves the right to charge
   interest at 2% per month on the outstanding balance on overdue accounts. Orders for customers who do not have a credit account will be on cash with order basis. Orders are accepted from a customer acting on behalf of a third-party on the basis that the contract is between Spectrum Photo Laboratories
   Ltd and the said customer (as principal) who is responsible for all matters relating to such orders and for settlement of the debt incurred.
   
   
3. Cash With Order Payments can be made by cheque, cash,P.O. or credit card.
   
   
4. VAT All prices are subject to VAT This is charged at the rate prevailing on the date of supply.
   
   
5. Prices Unless otherwise stated all prices quoted are STRICTLY NETT and are subject to alteration without notice. Orders below £3.00 are subject to a handling charge of £1.50.
   
   
6. Dispatch All items sent by 1st Class Post are sent entirely at the customer's own risk, at a minimum charge of £3.00 per parcel. We strongly recommend work be returned by either Special Delivery or D.H.L. Courier, which will be charged to the customer. Please contact Spectrum Photo Labs as to the level of insurance cover on these methods of despatch. 
   
   
7. Copyright Customers sending material for reproduction must take full responsibility with regard to copyright and assume absolute liability for any resulting violation of copyright in any action brought by a third party.
   
   
8. Liability Spectrum Photo Laboratories is proud of its reputation for care in the handling of customers work and for the fact that it takes all possible care with regard to the property entrusted to it. The company will, however, not accept liability beyond the cost of the client's original material and should this have an intrinsic value beyond the cost of the clients original material itself then the client will have been assumed to have effected all risks insurance to the extent of that value.
   
   
9. Customers' property Whilst every possible care is taken with customers property, the company can not be held responsible for any loss or damage when such articles are entrusted to us. The company takes the greatest care in the packing of goods but are under no circumstances accountable for damage to, or loss of, property leaving its works.
   
   
10. Colour matching On the account of the limitations of photographic materials it is impossible to guarantee an exact colour match of guide samples etc. Guides should be provided where possible. However, without a colour guide or special instructions, reproduction will be deemed faithful at our discretion.
    
    
11. Claims Any complaint must be made within 5 days of receipt of work.
    
    
12. Consequential loss Responsibility will not be accepted for consequential loss however caused.
    
    
13. Late delivery The Company will use its best endeavors to ensure that orders are completed within the time stated but will not accept any liability for damages in the event of failure to do so.
    
    
14. Force majeure Every effort will be made to carry out any contract or order based on a quotation, but the due performance of it is subject to variation or cancellation owing to an Act Of God, War, Strikes, Lock-outs, Fire or any other cause beyond control, or owing to inability to procure materials or articles except at increased prices due to any of the foregoing causes.

4 working days per package or print size on all services except E6 and C41 film processing.
Express service is available on most services at a surcharge.
